Call me an absolute idiot, but when I had learned that Mera Saaein will have a sequel, I had been naive enough to assume that the story will revolve around the positive traits of the younger Saaein, which will be Naina’s revenge against Malik Wajahat (Shazmeen already took hers, remember?). I had had absolutely NO idea that the younger Saaein, Shahzaman will be the exact replica of his father – in spite of growing under his very docile mother.   Yes, the promos for the second chapter of the Saaein saga are on air and on Facebook, and at first look, you feel as sickened by Saaein Shahzaman as you did by his father, Malik Wajahat. He has taken after his father in a more sinister way than one could have imagined. Of course, this is only guesswork – a brief impression gained from the teasers. There is a remote possibility that he might have learned something from Naina and might actually bring about a positive (on-screen) social change in Pakistani politics. One would have to watch the drama to find out the nitty gritties.   The cast looks rather promising. You could not have had a better Shahzaman than Fahad Mustafa, one of the most versatile actors in showbiz. Mahnoor Baloch, Anoushay Abbasi and Ayeza Khan seem to be in every other drama serial, but Xyla Sarhadi is a pleasant addition. She is talented and moreover, she has not been seen in any major serial. For me, she is one of the main attractions of this serial, after Fahad Mustafa, Sunita Marshall and Aamina Shaikh.
