now i came to a conclusion that both are equally responsible for destroying their relationship…meerab again proved that he dont have intentions to marry maya. a real culprit is maya herself. i dont like the scene of meerab and mehru they should'nt show this kind of abusive language by mehru and physical torture by meerab. aansoo bahanay se mehru mazloom ban gai par mere khayal mein zuban se nikay hoy alfaz kisi ko thappar marne se ziada torture karte hain. anyway kasoor dono ka hai or agar koi saza bughat raha hai to wo bachay hain.

  After all if Mehreen can leave Arsalan's job then why can't Meerab reciprocate? They can lead the life they want to with Meerab's old job.

it won't stop them, you are right. But my problem is that in the drama, nobody really challenges Meerab for slapping his wife across the face. If they had had a scene showing, for example, another character reprimanding him, or making him stop, even the kids, then at least the audience would understand that what he is doing is not appropriate, even if he is angry at his wife. But the way it was portrayed, it is presented as almost a natural outcome of their argument. No man who claims to love his wife should be allowed to get away with this.

I do think showing No physical abuse will eventually lessen the abuse overtime….just like smoking shown in commercials and ads makes it look cool and young and old people try to follow whatever is shown on tv….it has it's impact…. a psychological effect…. Some things shown over and over again make it look natural, part of life ….not a big deal…..we become tolerable and eventually immune to it….reverse is true if ABUSE is not shown too… For example….When they play a commercial stating " ye dil mangay more "don't you want to get up and grab the soft drink too…? That's why thousands of dollars are spent on commercials to send the message out to the masses….good or bad it's gets delivered…and it's makes an impact….

Having lived in a household as a child similar to the one presented in the drama I have to say you are so wrong (Even though I am a male).
When good women like Mehru compromise then husbands like Meerab get more shay and think that their wife is compromising because they know they are wrong and this encourages such men to boss their wives around even more.

  Our Pakistani society needs to learn how the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) respected and loved his wives and balanced this with his love for other family members. He was an excellent husband who led his family by commanding respect due to his kind and good behavior, not demanding it, like Meerab is, even though Meerab is a jerk.

Actually it all started with Bano Apa and her nikhatoo husband. Why were they interfering with their bhai's households finances. Why couldn't they just get their lazy selves up from all the biryani and nihari and work a respectable living on themselves.
All parents want their children to get the best education possible. Yei baat humarey deen mein bhi hai.
Unfortunately fi Meerab had stood up to his Apa then these problems would be unavoidable. Ek tau mujey yei baat kuch desi mardon ki bohot buri lagti hai. Agar maa sahi hai tau buri biwi ka saath deingey aur kuch hai jinki agar biwi sahi ho to wo apni buri maa ka saath deingey.

what a lovely name you got! I disagree. When we marry a person that person is so kind and lovely. As we pass on that same person loves you less and less. The reason is that the first priority has changed.
Most of the time married couple's fight like animals. Sometimes one person makes the other suffer alot for no reason. I just say some people can't make self happy or the one they love. It is true when your small you did childish behavior hitting your siblings. That should stop when you grow up. No one will live with a person who has no control over themselves. I think when you are married. You know that person by their behavior if they are good or bad.
