Old actors female and male r superb no doubt! Just a suggestion, Zara’s younger daughter needs to deliver dialogue naturally. Right now it seems UN natural by delivering dialogues fast. In her first serial she is extremely good. Over all the whole drama is giving the impression as if everyone is in a hurry. Please try to make it natural. We wait the whole week for next episode plz try to bring smoothness. Best of luck the idea of Naye Silsilay is excellent. But sorry to say direction is poor plz improve.

i heard so mch about the new tanhaiyan that i couldnt help but watch………its a really lovely happy world where they all live……..i like it …..love marina khan and badar khaleel…..i wish shehnaz sheikh was also a part of it………. tthough i dont think this one will be as good as the original……it might not end up anywhere near that…….but still its good to catch up with all those beutifull characters….

nice to see all good actors again, that was a time when only PTV was there some out class actors PTV was producing, Tanhaiyan was one of those drama people used to wait desperately, i was school going kid but i still remember that all, specially the tune at the beginning took me back in that time of my childhood ….. happy days gone fast, even some of the actors of Tanhaiyan are not alive may their souls Rest in Peace !

First 10 minutes lagged in direction and editing but then it kicked on thanks to brilliant dialogues by Haseena Moin and evenly good responsive acting by all. Shahzad Khalil is missed dearly, but I think Marina has pulled it off in the first episode. Excellent work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well truly speaking mujhe itna impressive nahi laga. original tanhaayaan was much better. ab logon ki psand ka wo level nahi raha. aj kal itne ache well scripted and well directed dramas chal rahe hain ke ye drama ek aam sa drama laga. agar is drama ka link old tanhaayan se na hota to shayad boht hi kam log dekhte. thats my own opinion anyone can disagree.

Is it tribute or not, does not matter, the fact is that IT IS the sequence to the original and taking original's characters forward that is souring the beauty of the original in our mind.

Hope people can get me this time around and stop jumping to the conclusions shunning someone's point of view without giving it much thought.
I firmly believe that this sequel SHOULD NOT be made whatever were the good intentions of tribute etc behind them or not.
They tampered the memories of the classic to say the least.

I understand your point that you wish to keep old memories and remember Tanhaiyan as an old time masterpiece, but I am enjoying it. I think it is amazing how they brought same characters back and built a story in continuation of the old ones. I remember the old Tanhaiyan made us laugh and cry, so this one might also do the same. I love the new cast! and who knows how it will turn out? it just started. After all it is just a drama. Everyone has right to their opinions and so do you. I respect the way you feel and if you really feel that way, I recommend you don't watch it. I would do it if I felt the same as you.

Nice start… just that all is going too fast and quick. I know time and people have changed in real life if drama is based on current time then things will be more than slightly different.
I enjoyed watching it. Talking about this being a replica..i think starting to comment and critise just from the 1st epi. is not fair. There will be loads “deja vu” but … let it go and see what this brings and end. Afterall the cast/ the story writer and the crew are big respectable names.And they have given BIG hits in the past. Afterall yeh pakistani family drama hai joh ek family ke saath beth ke dhekka ja sakta hai. And i feel proud! Enjoy people!

This effort of tanhaiyan sequel is kind of doomed in the first place, they can try to cash in the previous Tanhaiyaan [PTV classic], but they can never replicate its success. The episode was pretty lame. Marina Khan is not Shahzad Khalil and never will be.

I think people are being very judgemental over the drama. Yes I agree the expectations are very high from this serial, but please give the team a break to prove themselves. I think its a indeed a big effort and challenge to reproduce this drama serial. Looks at the positive side, so many versatile old actors are playing in it. I was especially glad to see qazi wajid. I haven’t seen him in dramas for a long time. He looked weak, prayers for his health. I was happy to see old, warm aesthetic sense of the house in which this play was shot. Lively, and colourful, definitely a break from the usual sets we witness normally. The young maid is a new entree, indeed a good start for her.
Anyways, just give these people a little break, and stop comparing it with other dramas or even with original tanyaheeyaan, because sequels in most cases do not touch the same viewership, enjoy it for its own individuality.

i watched it on tv and thought it was an ok episode but then i was free so i thought to watch this episode again and i watched it online here and guess what i loved it, tv pe tu itnay ads aye may b iss liye tv pe mza nahi aya…..its good sequel but missing zara (shehnaz shekh) if zara was also in the sequel phir tu zbrdast baat hoti, i still love saniya's role the scene where she is jumping with joy was funny (though saniya now is a bit elder but her funny acting is very good)

I miss Shehnaz Sheikh badly. She was the main character and taking that main character away is making the show how should I say it, sad.

And why is Farhan uncle so mad or annoyed? The last time in Tanhaiyan original, he wasn't like this, he was happy by the end too. Wonder what happened besides the death of his sister.
